Gunter will be given a new jury trial date on April 14 at 10 a.m. Her case is being heard in Carter County Circuit Court before Howell County Judge David Paul Evans.
Gunter and her boyfriend Dennis Woodward are accused of the 2012 murder of Joy Dishneau, owner of Naturally Enchanted, a shop run in West Plains, Mo., Caulfield Mo., and Assumption Ill.
Dishneau, who employed both Gunter and Woodward, was killed in a home invasion robbery, stabbed to death in the throat by a dagger. At the time of her murder both the West Plains and Assumption stores were closed, and she was running the business out of her home in Caulfield.
Besides fairies, dragons and T-shirts the stores also sold synthetic marijuana and other synthetic drugs there and off their Internet site before they were declared illegal.
Dishneau was killed late New Year’s eve.
Woodward who was expected to go to trial Feb. 18 .won a continuance because he had been deprived of his medicine prior to his trial. Despite Woodward’s now seeking to change his public defender, he is expected to go to trial March 31.
