Mammoth Spring, Ark. — The annual Easter Egg Scramble at Mammoth Spring State Park draws throngs of children every Easter Sunday, and kids hunt for eggs and prizes and make great memories.
This year the weather cooperated, and we had a warm sunny day for kids in their Easter finery to gather up eggs.
Here are some photos of the hunt, the kids and their eggs — and other sights at this year’s Scramble, sponsored by the Spring River Lions Club and hosted by the Mammoth Spring State Park.

Hunting eggs is fun for the whole family.
Not everybody was a winner.
This “baby” didn’t find a single egg.
Tori Lashway of Koshkonong, Mo., found a winning ticket.
Linda Vincent of Wirth, Ark., and friend meet Hrothgar, a great big dog, owned by Frank Lashway of Thayer.
The most important part of the hunt, checking those eggs for prizes.

And the sweetest part of the Scramble was an ice cream cone from Spring Dipper of Mammoth Spring, and West Plains, Mo.
