Mammoth Spring, Ark. — If you never saw a snake or a lizard or a frog you didn’t love, then this special event — “Scalies & Slimies” — at the Mammoth Spring State Park Saturday, April 26, is for you!
There will be two 2-hour programs and demonstrations given by Ben Wheeler, who will talk all about the world of reptiles and amphibians in the Ozarks. Wheeler is a biology professor at University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) who lives in Thayer, Mo.
Programs will be held at the pavilion at the state park beginning at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. This is a family event, and photos are encouraged. Admission is free for this educational and fun event.
