Mammoth Spring, Ark. — A Hungry Artists’ and Crafts Show will be held here this Saturday, June 21, beginning at 9 a.m. on the sidewalks in downtown Mammoth Spring.
The show and sale will be held on Main Street (Highway 9) just across from the Mammoth Spring State Park.
The show will feature artists and crafters working in all mediums. Artists will come from as far away as Conway, Ark., and crafters will come in from southern Missouri and northern Arkansas.
There will be an artistic photographer, artists working in oils and other mediums. Also, crafters featuring Native American arts, crochet work, jewelry, crystals, character hats, quilts, colorful potholders, and a great assortment of Ozark crafts.
The show will also highlight Mustang Amusements who will set up rides and games for the show.
Show sponsors Repertory Theater of the Ozarks (RTO) will be performing in concert all day long featuring Mariann Hyslop, Dennis Hobbs, J.W. Brewer, Vera Martin, Phyllis Simpson .and other special guests.
This is an old fashioned art walk and craft show. Come and browse and buy and have fun. Besides the food concessions available at the show, downtown Mammoth features famous restaurants: the well known Fred’s Fish House, Riverbend Restaurant, Stateline Steakhouse, La Pastorella Bistro, and on Highway 63, homemade ice cream by the Spring Dipper.
If your husband isn’t into art, let him fish all day on the trout-laden Spring River that originates in Mammoth Spring. You can also visit nearby Mammoth Spring State Park with one of the world’s biggest Springs and an authentic railroad museum and depot. Mammoth Spring is a tourist town with antique stores to visit.
