Baxter County, Ark. — Two Salem, Ark., residents have been arrested by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department for the theft of two Sea Doos from a storage facility on U.S. Highway 62 in the Henderson area.
Darren Lee Norman, 29, and Amanda Nasha Crawford, 28, were scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in Mountain Home today on one count of Class D felony theft each. Both were being held on $5,000 bond at the Baxter County Detention Center.
Norman was freed late this morning, and Crawford was freed early this afternoon.
The Sea Doos, valued at $4,650, were allegedly stolen on June 12 from Briggs Iron Horse Boat and RV Storage. Fulton County Sheriff’s office notified the owner that they had recovered his watercraft on June 22. Baxter County Sheriff interviewed three persons, and Norman and Crawford allegedly admitted to the theft.
