Arkansas Department of Human Services, Arkansas Hot Line, Baxter County Circuit Court, charge dropped, Cotter AR, ice cream truck rapist, interfering with custody, Judge Gordon Webb, Mountain Home AR, Nolle Prose, prosecuting attorney, rape, Robin Bardin, William Leon Bardin
The order was signed on July 24, and last week the prosecuting attorney’s office said Bardin’s case was still open and she was scheduled to appear for pre-trial hearing on Aug. 14.
Robin Bardin is the wife of William Leon Bardin, who recently was sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty on June 19 to the rape of a minor child. He was transferred the Arkansas Department of Corrections Diagnostic Center in Malvern on July 24.
Last February Robin Bardin was reported to the Arkansas Hot Line as a child molester, and the Arkansas Department of Human Services came out to her rural Cotter home to check on the condition of six minor children in her care. Bardin refused to turn the children over to DHS and failed to send the children to school the next Monday. She was arrested and charged with interfering with custody, a felony.
Robin Bardin and her husband William Leon, known as the ice cream truck rapist, were the parents of 16 children. Six were there own and ten of them were adopted.
