Forrest City — Arkansas State Police have identified the body of a woman found in the outside lane of I-40 early Wednesday as Amy Darlene Bandy, 35, but police have not released her residence.
In their statement today Arkansas State Police say that the Arkansas Crime Lab report indicated that cause of death was being struck by a vehicle.
Police are continuing the investigation in an effort to determine where the victim had been prior to her death and who might have hit her .
They are asking anyone with any information about Amy Darlene Bandy to contact the Forrest City Arkansas State Police office at (870) 633-1454.
The victim was found near the outside lane of I-40 near mile marker 236 at around 1 a.m. by a commercial trucker. She was wearing blue jean shorts, a lilac top and her Justin boots were found near the body. There was a tattoo on her left arm that displayed a rose and the names, Shannon, Samantha and Deanna.
The location of the body was just east of the rest area near Palestine in St. Francis County.
