Webster County, Mo. — A van carrying three West Plains, Mo., residents and a car driven by an Ava, Mo., woman were involved in an accident on U.S. 60 at Diggins here late Friday that sent all of them to a Springfield hospital.
Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that all four persons suffered serious injury and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by Cox emergency service.
Police said a 2000 Buick LeSabre driven by Maudie Rosetta Pope, 62, of Ava, Mo., was north bound crossing U.S. 60 when it was hit by an ’03 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Jason A. Shelton, 40, of West Plains, Mo., who was eastbound on 60, at 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Those injured were: Pope, Jason Shelton and his passengers Heather A. Moore,40, of West Plains, and Abee A. Shelton, 15, of West Plains.
Police said all were taken to Mercy.
Update: Jason Shelton, Abee Shelton and Heather Moore have since been reported to have been treated and released.
