MSHP-logoLake of the Ozarks, Mo — Three persons were in a small plane when it crashed into Lake of the Ozarks just after noon Wednesday. The pilot and two passengers were out of the water when police arrived.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol the plane was in about 28 feet of water near public beach Number 2.
The pilot was Gary D. Sulin, 45, of St. Charles, Mo. In the plane were his 9-year-old daughter and Mary Sulin, 72, of Bridgeton, Mo.
The 1976 Beechcraft B19 had taken off from Glaze Airport and was en route to Creve Coeur , Mo., when the accident occurred.
Police said the plane occupants suffered moderate to minor injury in the crash. The child and Mary Sulin were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with moderate injury. The pilot was not transported.
Cause of the crash is unknown and is being investigated by the FAA.
