Diggins, Mo. — A 63-year-old Rogersville woman was killed and three people injured Friday morning in a two-car collision at the intersection Highways 60 and A in Webster County.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said Kathryn E. Strickland, who was a passenger in a car driven by Diana L. DeShazo, 47, also of Rogersville, was killed when DeShazo tried to cross Highway 60 and failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
The DeShazo vehicle, a ’03 Hyundai Elantra, was struck in the side by a ’11 Kia Sol driven by Mary M. Hass, 53, of Dixon, Mo. Police said the Hyundai left the road and travelled down an embankment from the crash impact.
Police said DeShazo suffered serious injury, and Hass and 15-year-old Matthew Strom of Ravenville, Mo., suffered minor injury. All three were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
The victim was taken to Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Seymour, Mo.
