Arkansas State Police 3Salem, Ark. — A 23-year-old Mountain Home, Ark., man died from injuries after his eastbound ’94 Dodge Ram pickup truck ran off the road on U.S. Hwy. 62, a half mile west of Salem in Fulton County early Thursday morning.
Arkansas State Police said Luke Allen Gessner, of Mountain Home, ran off the road and lost control, then crossed Hwy. 62 and entered the westbound ditch, then struck a large culvert and partially overturned before going airborne; the truck then struck a large tree. Police said the road was wet and it was raining at the time, 4:50 a.m. Thursday.

The victim was taken to Barker Funeral Home in Salem. From there he was taken to Roller Funeral Home, Hwy. 5 North, in Mountain Home, where arrangements were made.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, at First United Methodist Church Contemporary Worship Center, Burcher and Sixth Streets, Mountain Home, with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating. A visitation will be Monday from noon until service time at the church.

Interment will be at a later date in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
