Van Buren, Mo. — A 51-year-old Ellsinore man was killed in a rollover near here in Carter County Wednesday.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said James W. Crouch was a passenger in a ’97 Chevy Cavalier driven by 27-year-old Aaron L. Freeman, also of Ellsinore.
Police said Freeman was westbound on County Road 127, 4 miles west of Van Buren, when he went off the left side of the road and overturned at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said Crouch was partially ejected from the vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m. at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital by Dr. Rivas and taken to McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren.
A second passenger in the car, Andrew D. Millican, 26, also of Ellsinore, received minor injury but refused treatment, according to the report. The driver was not reported injured.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Aldrich Valley Cemetery, About 5 miles off Hwy. 60 in Aldrich Valley
