Mammoth Spring, Ark. — A rear end collision on U.S. Highway 63 at State Park Road sent one person to the hospital Sunday, May 31,
Mammoth Spring Police Chief Mike Davis said a ’11 Toyota driven by Barbara Simpson, 58, of Alton, Mo., was struck in the rear when she was stopped to make a left hand turn at State Park Road. Simpson was southbound on Highway 63.
A Ford passenger van driven by Ali M. Alajji, 33, of Arlington, Tenn., struck the Toyota in the rear.
Police said one person was injured in the Toyota and transported by ambulance to Ozarks Regional Medical Center in West Plains, Mo. Vera Smith, 65 of Alton, suffered minor injury, according to the police report.
No other injury was reported.
