Circuit Court Judge Thomas D. Swindle was assigned to the case on Tuesday, and a case review has been set for Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.
Two other judges have recused themselves from the case due to personal association with either one of the parties involved in the case.
Grable is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action for allegedly shooting Sheila Hunt, on Jan 31, 2015. She was hospitalized but recovered from her wounds. During the incident, which took place at Grable’s home, police were called twice. The first time Grable called over the dispute, and the second time he called for an ambulance.
Grable is free on $50,000 bond and currently represented by attorney Daniel T. Moore.
