No Action Taken in Michael Amick’s bond reduction hearing
Amick’s attorney Steven Lynxwiler did not appear.
Amick reportedly told the court that Lynxwiler had withdrawn from his case.
Amick is being held on $1 million bond charged with capital murder and second degree arson.
His conviction was overturned by the Missouri Supreme Court this June, and he is in the Oregon County Jail waiting a new trial.
He is accused of killing his wife’s grandmother and setting his mother-in-law’s house on fire to cover the crime in Myrtle, Mo.
5K Fun Run and Walk kicks off Sept. 5 at Mammoth Spring State Park
Mammoth Spring, Ark. — A 5K Fun Run and Walk will be held at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 5 in the Mammoth Spring State Park starting at the State Park Welcome Center.
The run will offer medals and prizes to the winners in different divisions and genders, and funds raised will benefit Ozarka College, Mammoth Spring branch.
Grand prize for overall winners male and female will be a trophy and and a $50 WalMart gift card.
Registration until Sept. 4 is $20 per entrant. Late registration from 6:30 a.m. until 7:15 a.m. the day of the race is $25.
