The girls, who met the man at the Brickyard, a local bar, went swimming with him and two other men earlier in the evening, then beginning at 1 a.m. texted him to come back and pick them up with a promise of a “threesome,” according to statements given by the victim to the Baxter County Sheriff’s deputies.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court after the victim had gone back to Lake Norfork at Buzzard Roost marina with the girls, Anna Renae Runau, 18, who was wearing pink lingerie, asked him to remove his boxer shorts in the water and come closer; she then started stabbing him and when he tried to escape she followed shouting “Get ’em, Get ’em” to the 17-year-old, Kendall Skye Desetta.
He told police he ran to his truck and the window was down and Runau continued stabbing him in the arm. He made it to Baxter County Regional Medical Center, where the ER doctor said that had the wounds been one millimeter in either direction his Jugular vein or Carotid Artery would have been punctured and he would have died.
Runau said she stabbed him in self defense during her police interviews but also talked about stealing his pickup truck and going to Indiana. They also talked about slitting his throat.
