Ripley County, Mo. — A 17-year-old teen from Jonesboro, Ark., was killed Saturday in a car accident Saturday on Route K, 10 miles north of Doniphan, Mo.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Jordan Sharp, 17, of Jonesboro was driving a ’07 Ford Mustang north on Route K, ran off the road and struck a tree and a stump at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
Colton R. Hart, 17, of Jonesboro was a passenger in the car. He was pronounced dead at 12:59 by Ripley County Coroner Mike Jackson.
According to police, Sharp had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Southeast Health Center of Ripley County in Doniphan. Another passenger, Milbern Ward, 15, of Grandin, Mo., was taken by ambulance with minor injuries to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Update: Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Bryan Funeral Home, 415 NW Texas St., Hoxie, with Bro. Rick Hart and Bro. Jonathan Cochran officiating. Visitation was Tuesday night.
