MSHP-logoHouston, Mo. — A 30-year-old Licking woman was killed Friday in a three-car collision on U.S. Highway 63 six miles south of Houston.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said Amber M. Brignole was travelling southbound in her ’08 Dodge Caliber when a northbound ’04 Kia Sorento driven by Sean M. Rief, 27, of Bucyrus, Mo., crossed the center line sideswiped one vehicle and hit her car head-on. The accident occurred just after 10 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Texas County Coroner Thomas Whittaker.
Both Rief and the driver of the second vehicle, a ’03 Yamaha Venture, David K. Mathis, 56, of Cabool, Mo., were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., with reported serious injury.

The victim was taken to Fox Funeral Home in Licking.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 128 S. Main, Licking.
