Cadet, Mo., man killed in crash on Missouri Highway 21 in Jefferson County
Jefferson County Mo. — A 21-year-old Cadet, Mo., man was killed Tuesday when the car he was driving went out of control on a curve and slid off the road into two trees.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said Billy J. Cain, 21, was driving an ’03 Ford Taurus northbound on Missouri Highway 21 north of Britton Road junction when the accident occurred at 11:30 a.m..
The victim was pronounced by Valle Ambulance and taken to the St. Louis County Morgue by Schaefer Mortuary Services.
Two Conway, Ark., men killed, a juvenile injured in head-on collision near Pickles Gap
Faulkner County, Ark. — Two Conway, Ark., men were killed Monday in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 65, north of Pickles Gap.
Arkansas State Police said David Caldwell, 56, and Jacob Hynum, 34, both of Conway, were killed in the wreck. A unidentified juvenile in Hynum’s car was also injured and taken to Conway Regional Medical.
Police said the accident occurred when Hynum, who was driving an ’05 Chevy Silverado northbound on U.S. Highway 65, lost control, crossed the center turn lane and hit Caldwell’s southbound 2000 Chevy Equinox.
The two victims were pronounced by Faulkner County Coroners Bob Edwards and Pat Moore. The victims were taken to the Faulkner County Coroner’s Office.
The accident occurred at 5:54 a.m., according to the police report.
