Erie, Pa., man killed crossing highway in Jonesboro, Ark.
Jonesboro Ark. — A 27-year-old Erie, Pa., man was killed crossing U.S. Hwy. 63 here at Southwest Drive early Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Arkansas State Police said Justin Bowersox was crossing the southbound lane of Hwy. 63 when he was hit by a vehicle. The accident occurred at 6:55 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the weather was clear, and the road was dry.
Bowersox was hit by a ’06 Hyundai Sonata that was travelling southbound on Hwy. 63.
The victim was pronounced by the Shelby County Coroner at The Med in Memphis, Tenn. The body was being held at the Med morgue, police said.
Yellville man killed when pickup leaves the road and overturns
Marion County, Ark. — A 44-year-old Yellville man was killed Tuesday, Oct. 20, when his pickup truck went off Highway 14 about 4.8 miles west of Summit.
Arkansas State Police said Shawn Bell, 44, drove his ’92 Toyota pickup truck off the right side of the road and overturned. The truck was eastbound on Highway 14 when the accident occurred at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim was taken to H.A. Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
