Mountain Home, Ark. — A homeowner on Forest Hills Drive east of Mountain Home called the Baxter County Sheriff early this morning to report he had been stabbed by a stranger he had given access to his home.
Deputies arrived to find the homeowner cut in the face and stabbed in the arm at about 12:50 a.m. after an altercation with the stranger.
The homeowner told police he noticed a car parked outside his home, and the driver told him that he had mechanical trouble and was waiting for help. He invited him in.
He said the man grabbed a filet knife and demanded his wallet. He said he was stabbed in the altercation that ensued. He said the man ran away and was cut in the face.
The stranger is described as white, 6 foot one tall, 30 to 35 years old, long brown hair, stubby facial hair and wearing a gray shirt with blue jeans.
The car he was driving was a dark blue passenger car with a red hood. It may be an Oldsmobile.
The homeowner was transported to Baxter County Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
