Thayer, Mo. — A 26-year-old Mammoth Spring man, Bryan T. Baker, has been identified as the body that was found Halloween night in a burned vehicle parked on a County Road near Old Town.

The Oregon County Sheriff’s department has released his identity through DNA analysis. The body was sent to the state Medical Examiner in Springfield, Mo., and cause of death is unknown. The preliminary autopsy report indicates no foul play is suspected at this time, police said.

Police did not address the question as to how the body was burned.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Sheriff’s office, Thayer Police Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Saddle Cemetery in Saddle, Ark., with arrangements by Clary Funeral Home of Mammoth Spring.
