Walnut Ridge, Ark. — In a joint operation conducted by the Third Judicial Drug Task Force, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Walnut Ridge Police Department and Arkansas State Police three suspects were arrested for delivery of a controlled substance.
The arrests were announced Tuesday afternoon by Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Henry Boyce.
The suspects that were arrested and the charges expected to be filed:
Michael Wayne Cason. 62, was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Schedule II—Hydrocodone, a Class C Felony, and Proximity to Certain Facilities, a class C felony enhancement.
William “Lee” Hand, 47, was arrested for two counts Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Schedule II – Methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and a Class C felony, and Proximity to Certain facilities two counts, a Class C felony enhancement.
Kenneth Gale Willfond, 52, was arrested for four counts Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Schedule II – Methamphetamine, which included three Class B felonies and a Class ” felony, and Delivery of a controlled substance, Schedule VI
– marijuana, a Class D felony.
The suspects are being held in the Lawrence County Jail and are awaiting bond to be set.
Investigations concerning the delivery and manufacture of controlled substances in Lawrence County are ongoing.
