A 19-year-old Searcy girl riding a motor scooter was killed and a 20-year-old Little Rock man who was a passenger in a car were killed Wednesday.
A 32-year-old McRae man was killed and a 24-year-old Searcy woman was injured on Tuesday.
Teenage Searcy girl killed riding a motor scooter
Searcy, Ark. — A 19-year-old Searcy girl was killed Wednesday when she drove the motor scooter she was riding into the rear of a semi trailer truck.
Arkansas State Police said Georgeanna N. Childers of Searcy was pulling out of McDonalds restaurant and tried to travel northbound on Highway 67B when the accident occurred. Police said the semi was traveling north and coming to a stop at the intersection of 67B and Highway 36. Police said Childers failed to yield.
Childers was riding a 2014 TaoTao and the semi was a ’12 Kenworth. The victim was taken to Unity Health of Searcy. The accident occurred at 6:56 a.m.
Little Rock man killed in Russellville off-ramp accident
Russellville, Ark. — A 20 year-old Little Rock man was killed here Wednesday on the I40 East exit 84.
Arkansas State Police said Mashaud Ahleel Richardson was a passenger in a car that failed to make the curve on the exit ramp, overcorrected and overturned, ejecting Richardson,.
The car was a ’05 Nissan pickup, but the driver was not identified in the report.
Police said the victim’s body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab. The accident occurred at 4:16 a.m.
McRae, Ark., man killed at intersection of Blue Hole Rd. and 267 spur
White County, Ark. — A 32-year-old McRae, Ark., man was killed Tuesday when he missed a stop sign on Blue Hole Road and pulled into the path of a vehicle travelling east on the Highway 267 Spur.
Arkansas State Police said Christopher L. Williams was killed when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Emily D. Wix, 24, of Searcy, Ark. Police said Wix was driving an ’06 Nissan. Williams was driving a ’00 Chevy.
Wix was injured and taken to the Unity Health hospital in Searcy. The victim was taken to the Unity Health morgue.
The accident occurred at 10:18 p.m.
