RTO Valentine Flyer 2 2016rto logo 2sThayer, Mo. — “Just Desserts and Silly Love Songs” will be presented today, Saturday, Feb.13, by Repertory Theater of the Ozarks (RTO ) celebrating Valentine’s Day.
The show and desert extravaganza will be held starting at 7 p.m. at the heated Fun and Friends Senior Center in downtown Thayer on the corner of Front Street and Chestnut Street.
Admission is $5 per person or $10 per couple.
Doors open at 6:30 p. m.
Love songs from all eras will be on the play list as RTO stars go “Romantic.”
The show will star J.W. Brewer of Thayer, Mariann Hyslop of West Plains, Janie Crews of Alton, Phyllis Simpson of Mammoth Spring, and Dennis Hobbs of Thayer.
J.W. Brewer will sing and play “If” and “Stardust,” Mariann and Dennis will present “Whatever Lola Wants,” and Mariann will also sing “We’ve Only Just Begun.” Janie will sing “My Heart Will Go On,”, and “Ball and Chain.” Dennis is our “Teddy Bear” and will sing “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.” Phyllis will “Trade All My Tomorrows,” and sing “The Rose.” These are only a few of the songs scheduled for the show. M.C. is Allison Carter of Thayer. Director is Caroll Lucas of South Myrtle, assisted by Mariann Hyslop.
You should find your favorite love song on our Valentines Day play list; we know your favorite dessert will be served.
There will be chocolate covered strawberries, cakes, pies, and cookies of all descriptions, key lime, banana cream, chocolate and goodies galore.

RTO is a non-profit theater group made up of professional and semi professional singers and actors who have performed in Thayer, Mammoth Spring, and West Plains. RTO has produced such shows as “Hank Williams: Lost Highway,” Chicago,” “Cats,” “Celtic Connection,” and “Women of Country and a Couple of Guys.” Members of our group are scheduled to appear in the movie “Tatterdemalion.”
RTO was chartered as a non-profit organization in Arkansas and is registered with the State of Missouri.
