Thayer, Mo. — K-Kountry 95’s annual St. Jude Radio-thon last week topped it’s goal of $200,000 with $200,350 to be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Last year’s total was $185,000.
Students from Alton, Couch, Koshkonong, Thayer and Mammoth Spring schools answered the phones at the radio station to take pledges for Partners in Hope, in which people sign up to give every month to St. Jude.
“All of us here at E-Communications are grateful for what everybody has done in the community. The support just continues,” said Tim Eckman, general manager of E-Communications.
Former St. Jude patients Amber Dern and Madison Bowers shared stories with listeners of their experience at St. Jude.
