Oregon County Writers Club holds meeting 6 p.m. March 28
Koshkonong, Mo. — The Oregon County Writers Club will hold its March meeting next Monday at 6 p.m. March 28 at the Faith in God Church on U.S. Highway 63 located between Koshkonong and Brandsville, Mo.
The group is open to writers and those interested in becoming writers to share ideas inspiration and information, according to President Donna Brown. Our area has many published writers and those interested in becoming writers, she noted.

Emergency Medical Care for Pets and Livestock speaker featured at April 4 meeting in Mammoth Spring, Ark.
Mammoth Spring, Ark — A speaker will discuss the importance of Emergency Medical Care for livestock and pets at the next scheduled meeting of the Commonsense Property Rights Coalition here at Fred’s Fish House on April 4 at 6 p.m.
The main speaker for the evening meeting will be Francine Franck of West Plains, Mo., who has written several books on self preparedness and is an expert on emergency medical care for animals.
A discussion is also scheduled on the state of the political arena at this point in time and the DNR land and cash grab.

Piggott, Ark. — The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center in Piggott is hosting a Literary Cocktail Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 2.
Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by Friday March 25. Tickets are $35 per person.
Cocktails and hors d’oevres will be served. Those attending are asked to come dressed as their favorite character from American literature. A prize for best costume will be awarded. However, costumes are not mandatory.
