Sharp County, Ark. — A 43-year-old Horseshoe Bend woman was killed and a 59-year-old Thayer, Mo., woman and three juveniles were injured Thursday when they were involved in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 67, north of Cave City.
Arkansas State Police said Billie Jo Horn of Horseshoe Bend was killed when she drove her ’12 Chevy .Impala across the center line into a head-on collision with a ’02 Dodge Durango driven by Virginia Weathers of Thayer. Police said there were three unidentified juveniles in Weather’s car. They were two boys and a girl.
Weathers was taken to White River Medical Center in Batesville, and the juveniles were transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
The accident occurred at 4 p.m. Horn’s car was northbound when the accident happened.
The victim was taken to Tri-County Funeral Home in Hardy, Ark., according to police report.
A memorial service for Billy Jo Horn will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Franklin Baptist Church, Hwy. 56, Franklin, Ark. Memorial services in Michigan will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home.
