Salem, Ark. — Accused sex offender David Cone’s jury trial, originally scheduled for today, April 19, has been postponed until June 21, and his pre-trial hearing has been put off until May 24.
David Thomas Cone, a sixth grade teacher at Salem Elementary School, has been charged with second degree sexual assault of a girl who was in the sixth grade in ’08 and ’09.
The Melbourne, Ark., resident is free on $25,000 bond after being arrested for allegedly fondling the buttocks of a former sixth grade student. He was 38 at the time of his arrest.
