California — Bernie Sanders Monday was highly critical of Hillary Clinton’s decision to back out of a debate prior to the important California June 7 primary.
Sanders said it was “insulting to the people of California, our largest state, that she is not prepared to have a discussion about how we address the major crises we face”
Sanders was talking to a crowd of 6,750 supporters at the Santa Monica High School football field during a series on rallies in southern California Monday.
He noted that the Clinton campaign “have been very nervous lately and I don’t want them to get more nervous, but we’re going to win here in California.”
Some of this confidence stems from projected voter registrations by Political Data Inc. that Monday’s deadline would see 2 million new voters here.
